Meals on Wheels

Happiness is helping others.

This program provides meals to homebound elderly, disabled, or convalescing individuals unable to cook for themselves. ACCA helps recruit volunteer coordinators and drivers for routes serving people in the Annandale area. Volunteer drivers pick up the meals at Fairfax Hospital at about 11 a.m. and deliver them Monday through Friday. The time commitment for each delivery route is about 1 ½ hours.

Thoughtfulness and gratitude!

A Special Holiday Meals on Wheels program serves clients already receiving meals but is not a part of the regular Monday-Friday delivery. Only clients already on the program will be eligible for the Holiday program at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

To volunteer to drive for weekday meal delivery or to request meal delivery and establish eligibility, call 703-256-0100 and ask for a Meals on Wheels intake worker.
