Families
residing in Fairfax County who are working or going to school
at least 30 hours a week during the day Monday through Friday
pay tuition on a sliding fee scale based on their income and
family size. The Fairfax County Child Care Assistance Program
provides subsidies from state and local funds. The Center
also receives funds from churches, foundations, and individuals.
The Center's
staff includes a coordinator of children's services who oversees
enrollment and the provision of special services to children
who need them. The Center provides speech and occupational
therapists and a developmental psychologist as needed.
Volunteers
are needed to make cot sheets
and quilts, contribute to scholarship funds, and donate children's
clothing, books, household items,
and toys in good condition.
For information,
contact Center Director Dr. Judith Falkenrath or Coordinator
of Services Emily Ruffing at 703-642-5013.
